Chasing the Dream

For me, archery is more than just a sport—it’s a relentless pursuit of precision, perseverance, and personal growth. Every arrow I release is a step toward my dream, a reflection of the countless hours spent training, analyzing, and perfecting every aspect of my shot. From the moment I first picked up a bow in 2019, I knew this was something special. That year, standing on the podium at Nationals and setting a provincial record, I felt the spark of possibility—an unshakable belief that I could go further, push harder, and one day stand among the best in the world.

But the road to success is never easy. When the world paused in 2020, and competitions came to a halt, many athletes faced uncertainty. Yet, instead of stepping away, I stepped up. I poured everything into my training, using the time to fine-tune my skills, sharpen my mental focus, and grow into a stronger, more disciplined competitor. Thanks to the unwavering support of my mentors and the incredible team at Lakeland Archery, I emerged from that challenge more determined than ever.

That determination fueled my transition from Barebow to Olympic Recurve—a move that required me to rebuild my form, refine my technique, and embrace the mental and physical demands of high-level competition. Relocating to Yellowknife in 2022 brought new opportunities, new challenges, and an even bigger vision for the future. It wasn’t just about competing anymore—it was about becoming the best version of myself, pushing my limits, and proving that with hard work and passion, anything is possible.

2023 marked a turning point. Becoming Canada’s #1 ranked Outdoor Target archer, winning Gold in Field and Silver in Target at Nationals, and earning a spot in Archery Canada’s Next Generation Program was proof that the sacrifices, the long hours, and the relentless pursuit of improvement were worth it. And when I was honored with the Sport North Female Youth Athlete of the Year award in 2024, it wasn’t just a recognition of past achievements—it was a reminder that the journey is far from over.

This year, I continue to chase my dream with even greater determination. Competing at the Western Canada Cup, Buckeye Classic, and Nationals, I’m focused on growth, consistency, and refining my skills. Every competition, every training session, and every arrow is a step closer to my ultimate goal—to represent Canada on the world stage.

For anyone who has ever dreamed big, faced setbacks, or wondered if they have what it takes, I want my journey to be proof that persistence pays off. That success is built in the quiet moments—the early mornings, the late-night training sessions, and the endless pursuit of improvement.

So, let’s keep aiming high, pushing boundaries, and embracing the journey—because the best is yet to come.
